Dissolved Oxygen AND CO2 Removal Systems

Degassification of water using Gas Transfer Membranes
Dissolved gases such as oxygen and carbon dioxide can cause any number of difficulties in industrial processes, including Industrial Boilers and Once-Through Steam Generators (OTSG).
Oxygen Removal Membranes (ORM) control dissolved gases, such as carbon dioxide and oxygen, in water systems. These gases react with metals in the boiler system, resulting in boiler corrosion.
In Industrial Boilers and Once-Through Steam Generators (OTSG), which depend on ultra-pure, de-aerated water – dissolved gases can affect both production efficiency and equipment corrosion.
Air bubbles in liquid can lead to process interruptions and surface defects.
The Oxygen Removal Membranes (ORM) achieves low levels of dissolved gas concentration (<1 ppm CO₂ and <1 ppb O₂) that can be difficult to reach with conventional gas removal processes or chemical injection. The Oxygen Removal Membranes (ORM) Skid have a smaller footprint and typically weigh less than vacuum towers and forced draft deaerators. Oxygen Removal Membranes (ORM) contain microporous hydrophobic membranes, which are used to bring gas and liquids in direct contact without mixing. Contactors operate by lowering the pressure of gas in contact with the liquid to create a driving force to remove the dissolved gases from the water. When compared with chemical treatments, degasification produces significant customer savings in product, blow down and energy. Results
These leading gas transfer devices help facilities around the world improve water treatment process
performance and product quality by:

  • Reducing corrosion in boilers and piping.
  • Improving process efficiency.
  • Enabling ultra-pure water for high-technology processes.
  • Improving beverage shelf life and taste.

High purity softened and demineralized water

Ion exchange technology is a proven method of producing high purity softened and demineralized water. It is used in most industries that require high purity water and to reclaim water from processes. The Ion exchange process involves the exchanging of contaminant ions for Na+ ions in a softening application and H+ and OH- ions in pure water application. Thermotics offers a range of ion exchange products for applications, including condensate and brine polishing, vacuum degassing, and desalination.

Flexible Ball Joint systems

Advantages of Flexible Ball Joint systems in steam injection

  1. The ball joint system offers cost-saving advantages by reducing the number and weight of anchors and guides required in a piping system.
  2. The ball joint system permits pipe to move in two or more planes simultaneously.
  3. Ball joints provide more movement in less space, taking full advantage of available space.
  4. The ball joints along with Thermotics expansion system can withstand heavy shock and vibration loads.
  5. Ball joints have a pivotal movement capability as well as the ability to flex angularly for accommodating twisting movement or torsional loads.
  6. ATS Thermal Pak Flexible Ball joints are designed for low maintenance service in a wide range of operating conditions.
  7. The ball joint system reduces end thrust after the small initial force required to flex the ball joints is exerted.
  8. The ball joints are designed for the injection of self-lubricating injectable packing under full line pressure; thus assuring maximum reliability for uninterrupted service.
